Resuscitation Trolley Checklist
Please ensure the trolley is checked DAILY to ensure all essential items are operational, readily accessible and that expiry dated sundries are within the due date.
Clinical Sundries
Prior to sealing the Resuscitation with a numbered tamper tag. Please ensure you inspect sundry packaging to ensure its clean, free of contamination sealed and un-broken. If it doubt, please remove and replenish.
Where multiples of the same sundry are stocked please record the earliest dated stock expiry date prior to sealing the trolley with a numbered tamper tag.
Maintenance
DAILY CHECK, please ensure the trolley is visually inspected and free of dust or contaminants.
Check the numbered tamper tag remains sealed and intact and matches the last full closure sealing tag number.
If there is a discrepancy, the trolley should be opened and a full inspection of the draw contents must be completed with an additional member of staff. Once all contents affirmed to be in date and correctly stocked as per inventory the trolley can be closed and re-sealed with a new numbered tamper tag closure.
A DATIX incident report should be submitted if any equipment or clinical sundry is found to be missing, broken, not deployable or considered stolen.
